Stress, anxiety and sleep deprivation can all make Parkinson’s disease motor and non-motor symptoms worse.
As you head into the holiday season make sure to:
Get a good nights sleep
Reduce unnecessary stress
Try not to worry
The systems in the brain responsible for Parkinson’s symptoms (called the basal ganglia) can be negatively affected by stress, anxiety and sleep deprivation.
Make everyday your best day and if you are plagued by any of these symptoms try to work with your healthcare team on medical or behavioral strategies- addressing these issues can lead to better days!
