How to prevent rotator cuff and shoulder injuries in Parkinson's disease
It turns out that we encounter a large number of preventable shoulder injuries in Parkinson’s disease. Here are a few tips to prevent tearing a rotator cuff or experiencing an orthopedic injury with your Parkinson’s disease.

Here are a few tips:
Limit or avoid exercise overhead or exercises where the arm is rotated backwards also called external rotation.
Do not try to lift weights above the level of the shoulder.
Be careful of kettle bells or any weights that are swung above the level of the shoulder.
Even though we recommend not weight bearing above the level of the shoulder that does not mean that you should stop stretching the entire shoulder joint.
